Your Life As Art

Fritz, Robert. Your Life as Art. 2003. Newfane Press.

This book is without a doubt for anyone that wants to view, or currently views themselves, as an artist.

Discussing topics ranging from short term to long term objectives, mechanics of the creative process, orientation as a creator, the guiding spirit for creative projects, music as metaphor for the creative process, deep introspection and many other topics this book is a surefire relevant to an aspiring creator.

Fritz’s delivery is straight-forward at times, and at other times deeply insightful with regards to learning about vision, and creating tension. Fritz goes on to say that this isn’t about pressure or anxiety or anything of the sort, but rather tension describes a relationship in which one element of a structure is contrasted by another element of the same structure.

Structure determines behavior.

On an abstract note, only the abstract will be awarded to those excellent in their field. For the abstract is in orientation to that which will allow you to live your life artistically.

9/10. The only critique I have is in hopefully seeing a reissue or reprint.

Have fun folks.
