Spoq – Yes or no?

Wolfrum Gruss, aka Spoq has released (May 15th, 2026) another ambient glitchy album that is incredibly pleasant to throw on in the background, and was not even abrasive to my mother whose tolerance towards my selective (sometimes) EDM music tastes usually wanes quicker than slower.

On Yes or no? We have a rudimentary art cover that still manages to pop and catch attention, with its vibrant colors and odd selection.

The album is incredible, featuring ambient pads, simple and yet at times complex churning rhythms. Not to mention there are a few of those tinkling glass percussive elements at play here as well, making the album flow into deep and introspective moments that we can expect to hear from Gruss, and whose efforts in this work echo meldings of the type we have seen in his Mind Fusion volumes (currently all the way up to 15!).

Personal favorite track: Block Night Vampires. It starts off slow and builds quickly with an ethereal feeling to it, those thinking percussive elements and solid syncopation in its rhythms.

Well done, Spoq.
